Districts of Trier

Innenstadt (Old Town)
The ancient heart of Trier, stretching from the Porta Nigra to the Hauptmarkt and the Cathedral. UNESCO World Heritage at every step.

Olewig
A wine village within the city limits. Family wineries, the Weinkulturpfad (wine culture trail), and the gateway to the Mosel region.

Trier-Süd
South of the city center. Home to the Kaiserthermen, Barbarathermen, and the Basilica of St. Matthias.

Trier-Nord
A residential district north of the Porta Nigra. River port, main train station, and the Nordallee.

Trier-West / Pallien
The left bank of the Moselle. The Mariensäule (Mary Column), the Markusberg hill, and panoramic views of the old town.
Trier-Ost
Gartenfeld and Heiligkreuz. Residential districts just east of the city center.
Mariahof
A plateau residential district with wide views and easy access to green space.

Kürenz
Trier's university quarter, taking in the Petrisberg, the Tarforster Höhe, and a lively student scene.
Euren
Southwest along the Moselle. A family district close to the Moselle bridge and the Igeler Säule (Igel Column) nearby.
Biewer
Trier's northernmost Moselle district, close to the river port and steeped in wine tradition.

Ruwer-Eitelsbach
Trier's eastern reach along the Ruwer valley. A wine village known for famously steep vineyard slopes.

Pfalzel
A historic village quarter with the remains of a late-Roman royal palace on the Moselle.
