Wine & the Moselle
Trier is a wine town. Within the city limits, Olewig and Ruwer hold first-class Riesling vineyards, and the Moselle river runs right past the doorstep. Wineries such as Bischöfliche Weingüter, Reverchon, von Schubert, and Karthäuserhof have a world-class reputation. Highlights include the Olewiger Weinfest (Olewig Wine Festival) and the Mosel-Wein-Nachts-Bummel (Mosel wine evening stroll).
