The Olewiger Weinfest is the largest wine festival in the Trier area. For a full week the winery courtyards stay open, the big parade winds through Olewig on the first Sunday in August, and the Trier Wine Queen is crowned. Thousands of visitors taste their way through Olewig's Riesling vineyards.
